About Mother of Poppies

Hello! I’m Jackie, and I’m happy to share with you a little bit about myself and my business, Mother of Poppies - a small-batch handmade jewelry business. I aspire to make everyday, fun, colorful pieces that spark joy when worn.

Jewelry making began as a way to alleviate stress as I find creating and beading relaxing. I’ve been sewing and creating since I was a child. I love visualizing a piece and then seeing it come together. One of my favorites is the hand-beaded tila bracelets. I also love hand-knotting pearls. Pearls are so special to me, as they are timeless, and they come in so many unusual and fun organic shapes.

On a more personal note, I am the lucky mom to two young boys, the youngest of whom is diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut - a rare form of epilepsy - and autism. Turning my hobby of crafting jewelry into a business began out of the desire to work from home and have the flexibility to care for my young son. He is an inspiration for me to work hard and find happiness in what I do, as I see him live everyday fearless and so happy.

I’m so excited to offer up my handmade pieces for sale. All of them are carefully made by me in my New Jersey home. I take pride in all of my pieces as well as the packaging. I carefully source my materials from reputable U.S. suppliers. I love to buy local! Every piece of Mother of Poppies Jewelry comes on a custom paper card in a labeled paper jewelry box.

Thank you for visiting my site!

Sincerely,

Jackie, Owner
